What is CEREC?

Gone are the days of taking nauseating impressions for crowns and walking around with temporary crowns which fall out.

This is all possible because of CEREC. With CEREC it is possible to do a single crown in less than an hour. This is done by taking a digital impression with the CEREC Acquisition Unit, which produces a 3D model on the computer. 

Your crown is then designed on the 3D model after which it is cut from a porcelain block with the CEREC MCXL milling unit. After the crown is polished, it is fitted and cemented in permanently.
