Paediatric Dentistry

Here at Bfn Dental Care we take special care of our little patients to prevent them from developing a fear of visiting the dentist.

 Should it be your little one’s first visit to the dentist, only a thorough examination will be done during this appointment as an introduction to the dentist. Should any treatment be necessary everything will be expalined in detail and a second appointment booked either at the practice or at the theatre depending on compliance.

For patients 7 years and younger needing multiple treatments, we recommend to book an appointment for theatre where we can treat all teeth necessary in a single appointment under general anesthesia without traumatising your child. We do this at Citimed Day Clinic in Preller Square as well as the Cure Care Day Clinic in Brandwag.

A second option for non-compliant patients is conscious sedation done by our anesthesiologist, Dr Willie van Tonder. Conscious sedation is done in house at our practice offices.
